dc.descriptionIn Chile, as in many countries, cigarettes are among the goods most highly taxed,which affects competition in the industry, tax revenue, consumption and health effectsrelated to its consumption. These effects depend not only on the level of taxation butalso on its structure. In this study, I analyze the effects of the type of taxation used inChile to tax cigarettes and propose an alternative that is more efficient than the onecurrently used.en-US

Estos efectos dependen de forma importante del nivel y la estructuratributaria. En este estudio se analizan los efectos del esquema tributario que se aplicaa los cigarrillos en Chile y se propone un esquema alternativo de tributación máseficiente que el actual.es-ES
