| dc.description | This article revises three theories of political steering: neoinstitutionalism, the actor-centered institutionalism, and the systemic theory of contextual steering. The analysis aims to answer the question of the quality of steering theories. After exploring neoinstitutionalism as a correction of behaviorism and rational choice theories, this paper studies the problems of the actor-centered institutionalism as a contemporary continuation of neoinstitutionalism. Subsequently, the article presents the foundations of the systemic theory of contextual steering and, as a conclusion, it clarifies why this theory allows a wider and more profound insight about the problems of political steering in modern complex societies. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo se revisan tres teorías de la regulación política: el neoinstitucionalismo, el institucionalismo centrado en el actor y la teoría de la regulación contextual de base sistémica.El análisis se orienta a responder la pregunta por la calidad de las teorías. Después de examinar el neoinstitucionalismo como corrección del conductismo y la teoría de la elección racional, se analizan los problemas del institucionalismo centrado en el actor como corriente derivada. Luego de esto, se exponen los fundamentos de la teoría de la regulación contextual de base sistémica y se explica, a modo de conclusión, por qué esta teo- ría permite una observación más amplia y profunda sobre los problemas de regulación política en sociedades complejas modernas. | es-ES |
