| dc.description | This descriptive investigation analyzes the representation of the Chilean woman in the governmental discourse from 1990 to 2016. For this, a discourse analysis of Government Programs and Public Accounts of the six governments is made (N = 376 units of analysis). And it is explored the role and representatntion of the woman on them. The main objective is to unravel how this representation is and whether there are similarities or differences between different periods. The main conclusion reached is that although there is a desire to overcome inequality and to incorporate women into the public sphere –especially in the second government of Michelle Bachelet– there are still many challenges to achieve parity. That is because the woman –although working– is closely linked to the private space and closely associated with her roles as mother and wife. | en-US |
| dc.description | Esta investigación descriptiva analiza la representación de la mujer chilena en el discurso gubernamental desde 1990 a 2016. Para ello, se hace un análisis del discurso de los programas de gobierno y de las cuentas públicas de los seis gobiernos (N= 376 unidades de análisis) y se explora el rol de la mujer representado en los mismos. El principal objetivo es desentrañar cómo es dicha representación y si existen similitudes o diferencias. La principal conclusión a la que se llegó es que si bien se observa una voluntad por superar la desigualdad e incorporar a la mujer al ámbito público –especialmente, en el segundo gobierno de Michelle Bachelet–, aún existen muchos retos para alcanzar la paridad dado que la mujer –aunque sea trabajadora– sigue muy vinculada al espacio privado y muy asociada a sus roles de madre y esposa. | es-ES |
