dc.descriptionYoung-Woo Park es director del Interactive Product Design Laboratory del Instituto Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología de Ulsan, Corea (UNIST). Después de obtener su doctorado en Diseño Industrial en el Instituto Avanzado de Ciencia y Tecnología de Corea, trabajó como investigador postdoctoral NASA-KAIST en el Intelligent Robotics Group del Centro de Investigación Ames de la NASA. Actualmente es Profesor Asistente de Diseño Industrial en la Escuela de Diseño e Ingeniería Humana de UNIST. Como jefe del Interactive Product Design Laboratory, se enfoca en el diseño y la realización de productos interactivos que puedan aportar un valor efectivo, lúdico y emocional a los usuarios. En esta entrevista, Young-Woo Park destaca la importancia de la “riqueza física” en la interacción con las tecnologías y proporciona ejemplos del uso de materiales inusuales como medios para explorar nuevas formas de usar y diseñar artefactos cotidianos. También describe la encarnación de lo efímero como un método con potencial para diseñar interacciones estéticas. Finalmente, sugiere a los diseñadores que lean e intenten fundir la práctica con teorías y métodos de diseño.  es-ES
dc.descriptionYoung-Woo Park is the Director of the Interactive Product Design Laboratory at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology in Korea (UNIST). After earning his PhD in Industrial Design from the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, he worked as a NASA-KAIST Postdoc Researcher in the Intelligent Robotics Group at the NASA Ames Research Center. He is currently Assistant Professor of Industrial Design in the School of Design and Human Engineering at UNIST. As Head of the Interactive Product Design Laboratory, he focuses on the design and realization of interactive products which can provide effective, playful, and emotional value to the users. In this interview, Young-Woo Park highlights the significance of 'physical richness' during interaction with technologies and provides examples of unusual materials as a medium for exploring new ways of using and designing everyday artifacts. He also describes the potential of embodiment of ephemerality as a method for designing aesthetic interaction. Finally, he suggests that designers read and merge design-driven methods and theories into their design practice.     en-US
