The objective of this work is the bibliometric, descriptive and retrospective analysis of the scientific production of the Physical Activity and Science Journal. The sample was constituted by the production of the magazine during the period 2009-2018 (both inclusive). The information search was conducted in November 2018. During the period considered, a total of 19 regular issues and 1 special issue were published in the magazine, 109 articles with 245 signatories (137 men and 108 women). The average time interval for waiting for the articles’ reception-acceptance is 4.3 months (with dispersions); works were published from 20 countries on several continents, with Venezuela having the largest presence with 90%, followed by Brazil with 68%, and the university with the largest number of representations is the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador. The "other" works (they do not correspond to thematic axes declared by the magazine) are those that have the highest production with a total of 25 articles. The magazine has 2396 references, with an average of 21.98 per article. The journal has maintained the periodicity with constant production, high and varied international participation and collaboration index.Este trabajo tiene como objetivo el análisis bibliométrico, descriptivo retrospectivo de la producción científica de la Revista Actividad Física y Ciencias. La muestra estuvo constituida por la producción de la revista en el período 2009-2018 (ambos inclusive). La búsqueda de información se realizó en noviembre de 2018. En el período considerado se publicaron en la revista un total de 19 números regulares y un número especial, 109 artículos con 245 firmantes (137 hombres y 108 mujeres). El intervalo de tiempo promedio para la espera en la recepción-aceptación de los artículos es de 4,3 meses (con dispersiones); se publicaron trabajos procedentes de 20 países de varios continentes, siendo Venezuela el que tiene mayor presencia con 90, seguido de Brasil con 68, y la universidad con mayor cantidad de representaciones es la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador. Los trabajos “otros” (no corresponden a ejes temáticos declarados por la revista) son los que mayor producción tienen con un total de 25 artículos. La revista cuenta con 2396 referencias, con un promedio de 21,98 por artículo. La revista ha mantenido la periodicidad con una producción constante, alta y variada participación internacional e índice de colaboración.
