| dc.description | This paper intends to show the general principles and the sphere in which Religious Studies first appeared and developed. The first part presents the context in which it appeared as an autonomous science, its relation to Theology and to other Human Sciences, as well as the historical background that can help to better understand its field of study and scope. The second part enumerates current issues where Religious Studies can be a valuable contribution, and that concern the contemporary way of life of men. As a conclusion, a brief reflection about the role Religious Education can play to build a better, more tolerant society is presented. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente trabajo intenta mostrar los principios generales y el ámbito en que surgió y se desarrolló la Ciencia de la Religión. En la primera parte se expone el contexto en el que surgió como ciencia autónoma, su relación con la teología y otras ciencias humanas, así como los antecedentes históricos que pueden servir para comprender mejor su área de estudio y su orientación. En la segunda parte, se enumeran cuestiones actuales en las que la Ciencia de la Religión puede constituir un valioso aporte, y que atañen al modo de vivir del hombre contemporáneo. Como conclusión, se presenta una breve reflexión sobre el rol que pueden cumplir la educación religiosa para construir una sociedad mejor y más tolerante. | es-ES |
