The purpose of this article is to highlight some philosophical and theological implications of the influence of Greek thought in one of the many primitive Christianities in the first century of our era: the one belonging to the Johannine community. A particular Christian community, since it not only converged elements of Jewish culture (such as the Old Testament tradition), but also ideas and Hellenistic and even Gnostic notions. The most essential influence that it received was through the word “logos”. Before starting, we have to keep in mind that the purpose of this research is not to be a defense of the Judeo-Christian faith, but is simply a descriptive and explanatory statement of certain facts and / or events from a philosophical perspective, historical and theological.Por medio del presente artículo, se pretende resaltar algunas implicancias filosóficas y teológicas de la influencia del pensamiento griego en uno de los tantos cristianismos primitivos del siglo primero de nuestra era: el que pertenece a la comunidad joánica. Una comunidad cristiana muy particular, puesto que en ella no solamente convergieron elementos de la cultura judía (como por ejemplo de la tradición veterotestamentaria), sino que además ideas y nociones helenísticas, e inclusive gnósticas. La influencia más esencial que recibió dicha agrupación religiosa fue por medio del vocablo de lógos. Antes de iniciar, cabe advertir que este trabajo por ningún motivo intenta ser una apología de la fe judeocristiana, sino que es simplemente una exposición descriptiva y explicativa de ciertos hechos y/o acontecimientos, desde una óptica filosófica, histórica y teológica.
