The social education therefore, constitutes a very effective method in the work ofenvironmental education, since the same one, attempts the socialisation of peoplethrough a process of deconstruction of shared symbols and senses that are in the baseof the relationships social acting on the environment that traditionally have beenthe cause of the abuse and inadequate use and administration of the environmentalresources, for, later on, to propose new senses and meanings, that can be shared bydifferent cultures and social groups, coherent with the pattern of the sustainability.La educación social, por tanto, constituye un método muy efectivo en el trabajo deeducación ambiental, ya que la misma intenta la socialización de las personas medianteun proceso de deconstrucción de símbolos y consiguientes sentidos compartidos yrutinizados que se encuentran en la base de las relaciones sociales actuantes sobre elmedio ambiente, que tradicionalmente han sido la causa del maltrato e inadecuadouso y gestión de los recursos medioambientales, para, posteriormente, proponernuevos sentidos y significados, así como esquemas interpretativos alternativos quepuedan ser compartidos por diferentes culturas y grupos sociales, coherentes con elmodelo de la sostenibilidad.
