This edition focuses on the histories of design, techniques, and technology. The scholarly work that links them has generated a growing number of research and publications, revealing the diversity and richness offered by this interdisciplinary intersection. This issue gathers an entanglement on the historical, cultural, and technical conditions of objects, images, and infrastructures, integrating diverse perspectives from design, as well as from the history of technology, engineering, STS (science and technology studies), material culture studies, and gender studies. In many cases, these perspectives are overlapped and combined loosely and unorthodoxly by analyzes of and through design.Esta edición se centra en las historias del diseño, de las técnicas y de la tecnología. Los estudios que las vinculan han generado un número creciente de investigaciones y publicaciones, revelando la diversidad y riqueza que presenta este cruce interdisciplinar. Este número recoge un entramado sobre las condiciones históricas, culturales y técnicas de objetos, imágenes e infraestructuras, integrando miradas diversas provenientes del diseño, así como de la historia de la tecnología, la ingeniería, los estudios de CTS (ciencia, tecnología y sociedad), de cultura material y de género. En muchos casos, estas perspectivas son superpuestas y combinadas de manera libre y poco ortodoxa por los análisis de y a través del diseño.
