| dc.description | In view of the noticeable needs in the practice of translation, the convenience of a tool that allows translators to analyze and evaluate the lexicographic resources both online and on paper for the translation of medical texts becomes evident. We are driven to this work by the rise of medical translation as an academic specialty. The medical specialties of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Traumatology and Surgery have been selected as these three specialties are the most requested among the Spanish “MIR” (Resident Medical Intern) test for Medical students in the year 2020. The adaptation to these specialties of an evaluation template originally developed for the specialty of Botany is proposed. The resources have been obtained through the Google search engine as this is the most recurrently used tool by translation students. The results of the analysis of lexicographic resources have been transferred to a systematized and organized database in such a way that a comparative analysis of the various resources has been made possible. From this analysis, very interesting conclusions have been obtained allowing us to interpret the current lexicographic panorama in these specialties. | en-US |
| dc.description | Ante las necesidades evidenciadas en la práctica de la traducción, se hace patente la conveniencia de una herramienta que permita al traductor analizar y valorar los recursos lexicográficos tanto en línea como en papel para la traducción de textos médicos. Nos impulsa a este trabajo el auge de la traducción médica como especialidad académica. Se han seleccionado las especialidades médicas de obstetricia y ginecología, traumatología y cirugía por ser estas tres especialidades de las más demandadas entre los estudiantes MIR (Médico Interno Residente) en el año 2020. Nos hemos propuesto la adaptación de una plantilla de evaluación originariamente planteada para la especialidad de botánica para abordar las especialidades médicas mencionadas. Los recursos se han obtenido a través del motor de búsqueda Google por ser el más utilizado por los estudiantes de traducción. Los resultados ofrecidos tras el análisis de los recursos han sido trasladados a una base de datos sistematizada y organizada de tal manera que ha permitido realizar un análisis comparativo de los distintos recursos. De dicho análisis se han obtenido unas conclusiones sumamente interesantes para interpretar el panorama lexicográfico actual en estas especialidades. | es-ES |
