Faced with the eventuality of the pandemic called COVID-19 that hit the whole world and the country in particular, several consequences arose both globally and nationally, one of them was the large increase in the unemployment rate. As a remedial measure in the face of this situation and in order to achieve a halt to the increase in this rate, Law 21,227 (Employment Protection Law) was implemented at the national level, which aimed to protect the sources of employment in companies that were affected. Due to the health emergency resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting not only organizations but also their workers, seeing not only small and medium-sized companies involved in this process, but also those large conglomerates present in the country. Hence the genesis of this study, whose main objective was to analyze the effects of the Employment Protection Law on workers working in large Chilean conglomerates. The research methodology used was framed in this case under a qualitative approach, with a phenomenological design, an interpretive paradigm and with a transversal scope. The research technique to be used was based on documentary analysis and included an analysis plan of category establishment, category saturation, live code support, analysis by category and the diagnostic conclusion.Ante la eventualidad de la pandemia denominada COVID-19 que azotó al mundo entero y al país en particular, surgieron varias consecuencias tanto a nivel mundial como nacional, una de ellas fue el gran aumento en la tasa de desempleo. Como medida remedial ante esta situación y con el fin de lograr un cese al aumento de esta tasa, se implementó a nivel nacional la Ley 21.227 (Ley de Protección al Empleo), la que tenía por objetivo proteger las fuentes laborales en empresas que se vieran afectadas por la emergencia sanitaria producto de la pandemia por COVID-19, afectando no solo a las organizaciones sino también a sus trabajadores, viéndose inmiscuidas en este proceso no solo las pequeñas y medianas empresas, sino también aquellos grandes conglomerados presentes en el país. De allí la génesis de este estudio, cuyo objetivo principal es analizar los efectos de la Ley de Protección al Empleo en los trabajadores que laboraran en los grandes conglomerados chilenos.      La metodología de la investigación utilizada se enmarcó en este caso bajo un enfoque cualitativo, con un diseño fenomenológico, de paradigma interpretativo y con un alcance transversal. La técnica de investigación a utilizar se basó en el análisis documental y contó con un plan de análisis de establecimiento de categorías, saturación de categorías, apoyo código en vivo, análisis por categoría y la conclusión diagnóstica.
