dc.descriptionThis editorial intends to contribute to the ― open ― program of soma design by bringing up two moments of rupture in the dualistic concep­tion that opposes the mind to the body. First ― through the feminist reading of Moira Gatens ―, certain ideas formulated by Baruch Spinoza, implicit in soma design, are made explicit with emphasis on those referring to the radical open­ness of the body (to the interrelation with other bodies) and the capacities of the body as an object capable of expanding and actualizing its power. Secondly ― through Georges Vigarello ―, some postulates developed by Denis Diderot concerning the senses and embodied epistemology are highlighted, in partic­ular those that paved the way for us to understand how the modes of perception of the body affect the perception of ourselves and, therefore, our sense of iden­tity. These moments of rupture are linked to the emergence of an emancipatory ethics, committed to the plurality of bodies. Finally, a call is made to promote the rebellious impetus of the body through somatic methods that recognize the various oppressive and disciplined ways of feeling, as well as the power relations inscribed in the phenomenology of bodily experience.en-US
dc.descriptionEsta editorial pretende hacer un aporte al programa ―abierto― del diseño somático trayendo a colación dos momentos de quiebre en la concep­ción dualista mente/cuerpo. Primero ―a través de la lectura feminista de Moira Gatens―, se hacen explícitas ciertas ideas formuladas por Baruch Spinoza, implí­citas en el diseño somático, con énfasis en las referidas a la apertura radical del cuerpo (a la interrelación con otros cuerpos) y a las capacidades del cuerpo como objeto capaz de expandir y actualizar su propio poder. En segundo lugar ―a través de Georges Vigarello―, se destacan algunos postulados desarrollados por Denis Diderot en relación a los sentidos y la epistemología encarnada, que allanaron el camino para que hoy nos ocupemos de la manera en que los modos de percepción del cuerpo inciden en la percepción de nosotros mismos y, por ende, en nuestro sentimiento de identidad. Estos momentos de quiebre son ligados a la emer­gencia de una ética emancipadora, comprometida con la pluralidad de los cuerpos. Finalmente, se hace un llamado a promover el ímpetu rebelde del cuerpo a través de métodos somáticos que reconozcan las variadas formas opresivas y discipli­nadas de sentir, así como las relaciones de poder inscritas en la fenomenología de la experiencia corporal.es-ES
