This paper presents a critical analysis of the new fellony of harassment at the work place in the Chilean legal system, introduced by Law No. 20.607/2012. The author begins with the study and scope of the legal concept of workplace bullying. Then, he reviews the protection afforded by the legal system against the psychological harassment at the workplace, through various mechanisms established in labor matters. Also, he addresses certain topics related to compatibility, proposed by the author, among the claims covered by labor law and common law.En este trabajo se plantea un análisis crítico del nuevo ilícito de acoso laboral introducido en el orden jurídico chileno por la Ley Nº 20.607/2012. El autor comienza por el estudio y alcance del concepto legal de acoso laboral. Después, pasa revista a la protección que otorga el ordenamiento jurídico ante el acoso psíquico laboral, a través de los diversos mecanismos instituidos en sede laboral. Asimismo aborda ciertos tópicos asociados a la compatibilidad, propuesta por el autor, entre las indemnizaciones contempladas en la legislación laboral y las de derecho común.
