| dc.description | Estudiamos el repositorio de la que fuera Cátedra de Avicultura de la Facultad de Agronomía (Universidad de la República, Uruguay), considerando los materiales que corresponden al periodo 1930-1970. El objetivo es realizar un relevamiento de este, planteándose que es importante su conservación, como forma de realizar un aporte a la historia de la avicultura nacional y mundial. Se realizó un inventario de los materiales, analizando la localización; contenidos; características; procedencia; origen; fecha; número; permanencia; conservación e importancia. Los materiales se clasificaron en libros de carácter científico-académico; revistas científicas; boletines científicos; revistas de divulgación para productores y técnicos; boletines de divulgación; memorias de congresos; recortes de prensa; publicaciones uruguayas diversas; y librillos y folletos comerciales e institucionales. Se concluye que el acervo bibliográfico es importante tanto en cantidad como en calidad, y su conservación asegurará una fuente de consulta para la historia de la disciplina. La identidad de la avicultura uruguaya debe cimentarse, entre otros aspectos, en la conservación y estudio histórico de dichos materiales, con vistas a futuros trabajos que releven la evolución del sector avícola en el país. | es-ES |
| dc.description | In this work, the repository of what was the Poultry Culture Chair of the Faculty of Agronomy (Universidad de la República, Uruguay) is studied, considering the materials that correspond to the period 1930-1970. The objective is to carry out a survey of it, considering that its conservation is important, as a way of making a contribution to the history of national and world poultry farming. An inventory of the materials was made, analyzing the location; contents; features; origin; origin; date; number; permanence; preservation and importance. The materials were classified into scientific-academic books; scientific magazines; scientific bulletins; popular magazines for producers and technicians; disclosure newsletters; conference proceedings; written press clippings; various Uruguayan publications; and commercial and institutional booklets and brochures. It is concluded that the bibliographic collection is important both in quantity and quality, and its conservation will ensure a reference source for the history of the discipline. The identity of Uruguayan poultry farming must be based, among other aspects, on the conservation and historical study of these materials, with a view to future work that reveals the evolution of the poultry sector in the country. | en-US |
