| dc.description | This article is based upon the detection, description and analysis of pragmatic discourse markers used in the speech of cultivated speakers of Spanish in Santiago. Samples of spontaneous and semi-spontaneous speech corresponding to cultivated men and women belonging to three different age groups were investigated. Para su estudio, se investigaron muestras de habla espontánea y semiespontánea en sujetos masculinos y femeninos cultos, correspondientes a tres distintos grupos etarios.
