| dc.description | This article with a qualitative methodological approach of an interpretive type, aims to identify the trends with which genetics has been treated in secondary school, through a bibliographic review where 39 articles were analyzed; selected from two recognized academic sources (Google Scholar and Scopus) and corresponding to the period of time between 2013 and 2021. The results obtained allowed us to determine that the treatment of biological inheritance in high school has been influenced by: the disclosure made by the media; the centralization in the teaching processes from classical and molecular genetics (inciding on a genetic determinism); the design of technological, experimental and modeling resources to facilitate their learning; the implications anticipated by the richness of the genetic language; the conceptions that students present around genetics and the linking of socio-scientific issues (SSI) as an alternative in the educational process around it. Likewise, the absence of epigenetic elements as an alternative component of the theme was evidenced. Concluding, the bibliographic review points out how unusual it is to approach other complementary conceptualizations in the study of genetics in this school context; the absence of reflections on epigenetics, for example, rules out explanations that involve environmental factors (nutrition, lifestyles and traumatic events) in the incidence in the genome of living beings and rethinks the validity of the so-called genetic hermetism. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artículo de enfoque metodológico cualitativo de tipo interpretativo, pretende identificar las tendencias con las que se ha tratado la genética en la escuela secundaria, mediante la realización de una revisión bibliográfica donde se analizaron 39 artículos; seleccionados de dos fuentes académicas reconocidas (Google Scholar y Scopus), correspondientes al periodo de tiempo comprendido entre el año 2013 y el año 2021. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron determinar que el tratamiento de la herencia biológica en la escuela secundaria se han visto influenciado por: la divulgación realizada por los medios de comunicación; la centralización en los procesos de enseñanza desde la genética clásica y la molecular (incidiendo en un determinismo genético); el diseño de recursos tecnológicos, experimentales y modelizaciones para facilitar su aprendizaje; las implicaciones previstas por la riqueza del lenguaje genético; las concepciones que presentan los estudiantes alrededor de la genética y la vinculación de las Cuestiones Sociocientificas (CSC) como una alternativa en el proceso educativo alrededor de ella. Así mismo, se evidencio la ausencia de elementos epigenéticos como componente alternativo del tema. Concluyendo, la revisión bibliográfica, además de identificar las tendencias que le dan forma al estudio de la genética en el contexto escolar permitió señalar lo inusual que es abordaje de conceptualizaciones complementarias, por ejemplo, la ausencia de reflexiones alrededor de la epigenética, impide explicaciones que indiquen la incidencia de factores ambientales (nutrición, estilos de vida y eventos traumáticos) en el genoma de los seres vivos y permitan replantar la validez del denominado hermetismo genético. | es-ES |
