Abstract
The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of the inclusion of B. gasipaes flour as a partial replacement of commercial balanced feed (ABC) on the productive performance of broilers. It took place in San José del Guaviare (Colombia), under a randomized design with five treatments: control, TCh2.5%, TCh10%, TCh15% and TCh20% each with ten replications. The results were ANOVA subjects, adopting the initial weight as a covariate. The linear, quadratic and cubic effects of the ABC substitution levels were evaluated by orthogonal contrasts with 5% significance. No difference was observed (P≥0.05) for GP, CA, EA, PCC, PCF, Viscera and PIG. The effect of the treatments for RCC and RCF was evidenced. There was a negative linear effect for CA, EA, PCC, PCF, RCC and RCF and a positive linear effect for PIG with the increase in the levels of B. gasipaes in the diet. The economic analysis shows an increase in the cost of food. The TCh5% presented the best INCP and INPP with respect to the other treatments. It is concluded that the inclusion of B. Gasipaes as a partial replacement for ABC does not affect the productive performance of broilers, substantially reducing production costs.
