| dc.description | The following article presents an analysis of diachronic semantics of a set of forty common idioms of the Chilean linguistic variety. These, in turn, are representatives of four grammatical categories with lexical meaning: nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. The idioms were randomly extracted from the Diccionario de uso del español de Chile: (DUECh) (Academia Chilena de la Lengua, 2010). As a theoretical principle for the analysis, the categories of semantic changes suggested by Stephen Ullmann (1962) and Ralph Penny (1993) were adapted, which attends to the causes, types and consequences of the historical type change. This way, a study is carried out with a qualitative approach, by describing the previously mentioned topics, in addition to a quantitative one which has the purpose to analyze the frequency of these innovations in Chilean Spanish. | en-US |
| dc.description | El siguiente artículo presenta un análisis semántico histórico de un conjunto de cuarenta locuciones propias de la variedad lingüística chilena. Estas, a su vez, son representativas de cuatro categorías gramaticales con contenido léxico, vale decir, sustantivas, adjetivas, adverbiales y verbales, y fueron extraídas, de manera aleatoria, del Diccionario de uso del español de Chile: (DUECh) de la Academia Chilena de la Lengua (2010). Como fundamento teórico para el análisis se adaptaron las categorías de cambios semánticos propuestas por Stephen Ullmann (1962) y Ralph Penny (1993), que atienden a las causas, los tipos y las consecuencias del cambio de tipo histórico. De esta forma, se propone un estudio con enfoque cualitativo, al describir los aspectos mencionados con anterioridad, además de uno cuantitativo que tiene por finalidad analizar la frecuencia de estas innovaciones en el español de Chile. | es-ES |
