dc.descriptionThe objective of this research was to determine the level of importance that teachers attach to research and creative work in the teaching and learning process of students. Using a Likert scale, with one being low importance and five being very important, all participants placed high importance on research and creative work (four or more points). The inferential analysis focused on academic rank of the professors, academic program in which the professors teach, years of experience teaching, and level of importance. The results showed that there were no significant differences in research, but there were significant differences in two criteria related to creative work.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo presenta una investigación cuyo objetivo fue determinar el nivel de importancia que los/as docentes adjudican a la investigación y el trabajo creativo en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Mediante una escala Likert, en la que la puntuación 1 representa “poca importancia” y 5, “muy importante”, la totalidad de quienes participaron adjudicaron mucha importancia a la investigación y a la realización de trabajos creativos (4 o más puntos). El análisis inferencial se enfocó en el rango académico de los/as profesores/as, el programa académico en el que enseñan, los años de experiencia enseñando y el nivel de importancia que le otorgan a la investigación y al trabajo creativo. Los resultados reflejaron que no hubo diferencias significativas en la categoría “investigación”, pero sí las hubo en dos criterios relacionados con “trabajo creativo”es-ES
