| dc.description | The present article aims to socialize among educators, family members and other interested parties the main results of an investigation that was carried out in the Efraín Alfonso Liriano special school in the municipality of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba. Its general objective was to propose a set of activities for the preparation of families about the development of communication in learners of the autistic spectrum. The design of the proposal is characterized by the systemic and personalized character, combining the face-to-face and non-face-to-face ways of preparation (family education schools, videos, recommended readings, educational talks), allowing the protagonism of the participants, preparing families so much in knowledge of the disorder, skills and attitudes, they are based on a directive style of orientation. In addition, the activities implemented allowed the creation of support networks by connecting families that present similar situations with their children. | dc.description | El presente artículo se propone socializar entre los educadores, familiares y otros interesados los principales resultados de una investigación que se realizó en la escuela especial Efraín Alfonso Liriano del municipio de Sancti Spíritus, Cuba. Su objetivo general fue proponer un conjunto de actividades para la preparación de las familias acerca del desarrollo de la comunicación en educandos del espectro autista. El diseño de la propuesta se caracteriza por el carácter sistémico y personalizado, combinan las vías presenciales y no presenciales de preparación (escuelas de educación familiar, videos, lecturas recomendadas, charlas educativas), permiten el protagonismo de los participantes, preparan a las familias tanto en conocimiento del trastorno, habilidades y actitudes, se basan en un estilo directivo de orientación. Además las actividades aplicadas permitieron la creación de redes de apoyo al conectar entre sí a familias que presentan situaciones similares con sus hijos.
