dc.descriptionThis essay examines the pedagogical contributions of music education to an all-round development of individuals, aiming to encourage its application in early childhood. This study compares and dialogues with neuro, human, biological and musical sciences, and is based on selected theories and critical literature from specialists in the fields of Neurosciences, Medicine, Psychology, Speech Therapy, Musicology and Education. Herein, we discuss the historical and cultural aspects of music education, analyze the influence of musical stimulation in brain development and, lastly, focus on the emotional and cognitive benefits resulting from musical stimulus, confirming its relevance to the contemporary educational experience through teacher mediation. We conclude that music education advances significant learning and the global development of individuals.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo se propone a escudriñar las contribuciones pedagógicas de la educación musical para la formación integral del individuo, con vistas a estimular su aplicabilidad desde la primera infancia. Nos basamos en el diálogo comparativo entre neurociencias, ciencias humanas, biológicas y musicales, a partir de un análisis bibliográfico cualitativo de concepciones teórico-críticas de especialistas en diferentes áreas del conocimiento: Neurociencias, Medicina, Psicología, Fonología, Musicología y Educación. Abordamos los aspectos históricos y culturales inherentes a la educación musical, avanzando para la influencia de estímulos musicales para el desarrollo cerebral, para enfocar, por fin, en las contribuciones cognitivas y socioemocionales oriundas de los estímulos musicales, lo que justifica su relevancia en la experiencia educativa contemporánea, a partir de la mediación docente. Averiguamos que la educación musical actúa en la promoción del aprendizaje significativo y progreso del infante en sentido global. es-ES
