Contrariamente a lo que se pensaba, el cerebro jamás se encuentra inactivo. De hecho, su mayor lucidez se evidencia cuando no pone atención a estímulos externos. La instalación interactiva Default surge a partir de esta premisa, así como del diálogo entre diseño y neurociencia. Este artículo analiza el proceso heurístico y el resultado estético de dicha obra. Se explica el híbrido camino recorrido entre el concepto científico y el desarrollo de una obra interactiva e inmersiva cuyo propósito es cautivar a la audiencia desde el goce estético, despertando la curiosidad sobre los estados más internos de la mente.Contrary to what was previously thought, the brain is never inactive. In fact, its greatest lucidity is evidenced when it does not pay attention to external stimuli. The interactive installation Default arises from this premise, as well as from the dialogue between design and neuroscience. This article analyzes the heuristic process and the aesthetic result of said work. It explains the hybrid route between the scientific concept and the development of an interactive and immersive work whose purpose is to captivate the audience with aesthetic enjoyment, generating curiosity about the innermost states of the mind.
